IT Service Engineer

Reports to Sr. IT Service Engineer

Location: Nipro HQ Mechelen

Overview

The IT Service Engineer will, under supervision of the Senior IT Service Engineer, ensure smooth operations of all the company’s IT systems located in several locations throughout Europe: France, Spain, Italy, Poland, UK, Germany, etc.

Profile / Accountabilities

  • Helpdesk: support existing users in all aspects; resolve user problems by communicating with end users
  • Asset management: maintaining and supporting client and server computers, mobile devices, networking equipment
  • Server management: Assisting in testing, installing and upgrading IT systems and services
  • Assisting in defining and documenting IT systems, services, procedures and applications
  • Backup management: supporting data storage and backup / restore activities
  • Project Assistance: assist IT Project Team in European projects where needed; occasional travel within Europe
  • Training of end-users
  • The role holder will perform all tasks in accordance with ISO and JSOX quality requirements and taking Nipro values into account

Skills

  • Solid base knowledge of IT: network (IP, DNS, DHCP), systems (AD, Exchange) etc.
  • Being able to work independently but also in a (small) team; sense of responsibility
  • Eager to learn
