VP Sales PharmaPackaging

Reports to: CEO Nipro PharmaPackaging International (NPI)

Location: HQ Mechelen, Belgium

Overview

Under the guidance and directions of the CEO, the role holder ensures continuous and successful profitable growth of the sales within the PharmaPackaging division. The VP Sales is a highly qualified – people oriented –international culture oriented- strategic – result driven professional who will not only maintain the existing customer portfolio, but who will have a clear focus on reinforcing the company’s market share by providing high value add products with collaboration with R&D, Product Managing, Marketing dept. etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a strategical approach for the sales department, covering the PharmaPackaging business unit
  • Develops a broad vision on the business and keeps an overview of all sales activities
  • Responsible for maintaining existing clients and acquiring new clients in the assigned regions (EMEA, USA, India)
  • Responsible for extending and integrating a strong sales department. Attracts and retains talent, steers the teams and coaches direct reports as well as sales teams
  • Supporting the CEO in sales negotiations, having a strong vision on strategy and financials and adapting to a new market approach
  • Ensuring a professional communication towards the customer and looking for win-win situations with an eye on price and quality
  • Adapts and transforms the sales department according to the changes in PharmaPackaging market and in order to be able to cope with business growth and challenges
  • Works in close interaction with the different departments in the company, like Production/Product Management/Marketing/R&D etc, and ensures a smooth cooperation

Education and Experience

  • Proven sales manager (≥ 8 years of experience in sales)
  • Extended experience in all negotiation aspects
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical packaging industry
  • Entrepreneurial qualities and dynamic personality
  • In depth knowledge of Primary Pharmaceutical Packaging and/or Devices
  • International expertise
  • People manager
  • Experience of directing sales teams

Key skills

  • Fluent in English
  • Sales and presentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of Pharmacopoeia and GMP relevant to primary packaging
  • Up to 60% travelling is required
